Behind the Scenes: The Work That Goes Into Every Maynami Co. Product

When you shop Maynami Co., the photos may look clean and simple—but behind each listing is a detailed process that I handle completely on my own. From logging inventory to bagging and tagging, every step is done with care and intention. I want to share a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes, so you can understand the work that goes into each product, and so fellow sellers can see an inventory system from a different perspective.

Natural Lighting & Raw Photos

Most of my product photos are taken on my phone, using natural lighting. I don’t use heavy filters or editing because I want the photos to represent each piece as authentically as possible. However, natural light changes throughout the day, which means colors may sometimes appear slightly different in person. My goal is to keep everything honest and real, even if that means the photos aren’t “studio perfect.”

Logging & Weighing Inventory

Before photos ever happen, each item is carefully logged. I try to give specific details - brand, size, fabric, condition, and other details that matter to buyers. After, I weigh the product to ensure shipping is accurate and seamless later. It’s a step that takes time but saves a lot of trouble when it’s time to ship an order.

Photographing the Products

Photographing is one of the most time-intensive parts of the process. I take multiple shots of each item—sometimes dozens—until I capture the best angles and lighting. The goal is always clarity: showing you what the product really looks like so you can shop with confidence.

Listing & Uploading

Once photos are ready, I write detailed product descriptions and upload them to platforms like Poshmark and Shopify. Writing listings may sound simple, but it’s one of the most tedious parts of running an online shop—it’s also one of the most important.

Bag & Tag System

After a product is listed, it’s carefully stored in my bag-and-tag system. Each item is sealed, labeled, and placed in inventory so when it sells, it’s ready to be shipped out quickly and neatly. This organizational step ensures every customer receives the right order without delays.

Doing It Alone

Every single one of these steps is done by me alone. Running Maynami Co. is a solo effort, from logging and photographing to listing and packaging. It’s a lot of work, but it’s also rewarding to know that every order has been carefully handled from start to finish.

Why I Share This

I want my customers to know the dedication that goes into each piece you see on Maynami Co.—and for new sellers, I hope this provides a different perspective on inventory management. Behind every photo is hours of work, intention, and a commitment to making your shopping experience the best it can be.

At the end of the day, Maynami Co. is more than just products—it’s the result of hard work, organization, and passion for building something meaningful.
